I think if I cant get the info in the link to work, ill leave the side panel off & have a seperate desk fan to blow cool air inside the computer.
Thanks for your research LOL I'll give you an A*
saved the link to my 'favourites' & ill try to connect to the internet on my computer tomorrow as i use my sisters laptop all the time as its easier. Ill copy the link over to my computer.
I would suggest just going to your local comp shop and buying a better fan/heatsink.
Sounds daft but have you tried blowing all thepoopout of you heatsink? The amount I look at that are totally clogged with dust and just need a damn good clean. Air dusters are very handy things.
If I knew where it was or what it looked like then I would LOL
There is a 'box' type thing at the back, when the side panel is off, whether this is the fan I dont know ? It has clips on it so I guess there's something in there but I've never opened it.
When I did open the side panel up there was TONS of dust inside so carefully hoovered what I could trying not to go near any bits inside.
I've got a new graphix card on the way so hopefully I'll fit that & problem solved as the card or its built in fan (if it has one) may be faulty - need to update it anyway.
So I gotta look on youtube to see how to fit a graphix card as it's something I've never done & dont even know where to start LOL.
At the moment I have a desk fan blowing air in (hopefully) circulating the air & helping to cool everything inside, although every now & again when playing a game the sound sort of 'jumps' & cuts out for a second then comes back on with the fan(?) whirring away at helicopter speed - so far my PC has not taken off.
