It was requested by someone else, but thought it may be handy for anyone else.
used it to measure your snakes.

ftp://philbennett.boldlygoingnowhere.org/SnakeMeasurer.zip

username if requested to access FTP: snake
no password needed

just take a decent photo of your snake, with something like a ruler in it, and then go over the snake, it calculates the size for you.

I've added the snake measurer to my messenger skydrive, (hotmail spaces), as the added file settings on my FTP was bogging my work machine down.

Lewy, there's your answer.
It does state that it can be distributed so long as it stays unaltered, so i'd imagine they wouldn't mind you putting it the downloads section, so long as there was a 'thanks to....' under it.

the link to my skydrive one is working, I've just checked on 2 machines, the serpwidgets link is still working as well.
The philbennett.boldlygoingnowhere wont work, as the FTP it runs on is not up at the moment.
