I've been offered a very young royal, it's just over a foot long, and is still on pinkies.
Comes with a 2 foot viv, and complete setup. 100 quid.

I should get it really, and if i can sneak it into the house, I will.
My missus would probably have a few words to say to me if I mentioned getting it, but if it was just here, then she'd be fine with it. (she's odd like that)

What do people reckon? Should I?

I would. My royal is lovely. They don't take that much more caring for than corns really, except they are more shy.

Lewy's got another website called theroyalpython.co.uk, but it's still under construction. Think the care sheets are up though

Decided to go and get it.
I shall give a buzz in the morning, and let them know I'll have it.
It's on Pinkies at the moment, because is was rescued and doesn't take anything else.

My arguement to the missus is gonna be that if she can keep one of our kittens, even though in the long run it'll be smaller, it'll still cost more.
And if that doesn't work, then I'll just say 'oh well, bit late now, it's upstairs.'

I'll let people know how she reacts, I can't understand her, she seems to think that Pythons grow to be these great huge 15 foot monsters, that can eat cattle.
Why do people always think that?

When i said to my m8 i might be getting a royal pyhton a while back he said WTF are you getting one of them for they could kill you and why would you wna t a pet snake that can grow to 15 + ft.
Its these programs on big snakes that quite a bit of the time make them look like savage killing beasts. THATS WRONG snakes are majestic and brilliant

To be honest, I'm more scared of my corns than I am of my Royal! They might be bigger (well fatter), but they are soft

It had GONE!!!
How typical is that? he has apparently had it for a while, and has had it advertised since he rescued it.
He said he's had a load of calls, but he always wanted to make sure it went to someone who already had snakes, or had a fair amount of experience.
I'm a bit miffed off that I didn't just say I'd have it when i first spoke to him.
I'm also wondering how they decided that a baby/hatchling royal needed rescuing, for people to get one in the first place, you'd think they would have some sense.
kicking myself now.

I think it's worse for the missus, because she knows i want one now, and she's trying to stop me looking!!
She even drove about 2 miles around our local shop on the way home from bournemouth today, because she knew i'd get her to stop so i could look.
I'm currently adding a mental note of 'me to drive' from now on.
