it's sort of a jovial insult - bampot is the full term. My good lady defines it as a "stupidhead", but she's still half asleep at the moment...
It's often preceded by the word "radge", as in your, "yer ma's a radge bampot by the way", roughly translated as "your mother is a rather sanity-challenged stupid person, don't you know".
So there you go! :-)

We're from Cambridge but currently living in Liverpool, we were down your way yesterday Liverpoolmadman, went to artsaquatics, on your recommendation the man in there was great and let us hold all the boas and pythons. My other half was far far to interested in the soft shelled turtle though... urgh. |
