Just wondering what would be the best time to feed cecil, he is more active round about 5-6pm, just wondering if I should feed him shortly after this rather than disturb him to feed?? |

I feed Synyster whenever the pinky is defrosted properly!! But i make sure he is wide awake and i dont just pull him outta the viv cos that would be wrong :) never really thought if there was a best time to feed him :s |

Feed him whenever is best for you really. Some snakes prefer to eat at night, but corns usually eat whenever, where ever and what ever so it doesn't matter. They are proper Martini girls |

spoke to the petshop where I got cecil from and they fed him at about 3pm so I fed him at about 4:30 and he snapped it straight up without any probs. |

The pet shop gave me a log showing his feeding history and shedding history. He is being fed twice weekly at the mo and even ate when he shed last, 2 weeks ago. Must be a greedy so and so. |

No wonder he is eating twice-weekly, you could try increasing the mouse size to fuzzy and lengthening the period between feeds. |

the pet shop told me that I should only feed upto the width of his largest part of body, but whe he has fed he hasn't swollen up as much as some pics that I have seen, could I try him on two pinkies to set him ging onto bigger prey? |

You should be able to see the feed going down, a general rule is 1.5 x girth. |

Only problem was that as soon as he had taken it he was away under his hide then came back out after about five minutes. I acn see a dark patch in his largest part of belly but no bigger that area surrounding. Hope he not going hungry?!?! |

Chances are he came back out 5 mins later to see if there was any more on offer. |

Yeah he's up and having a sniff about so it looks like he might be looking for more food |

well it's 10.45 pm, the mice should be just about defrosted so I'm feeding Petal, Peachy and Queenie tonight! I prefer to feed in the evening when the snakes are generally more active. |

Just gave cecil the second pinkie and after a bit of coaxing out he snapped it from the tongs that I use, just got some small kitchen tongs, so it looks like I might have to step him up to fluffies if they aren't too big next to pinkies |
