I have just acquired a corn snake and I want to add some sticks for climbing to her tank, as she seems quite active. The care sheet on the home page says that sticks from the garden are OK if disinfected, but I was wondering about the actual material itself. I have some nice gnarly bits that I pruned off my buddleja tree last year - all thoroughly dried out now (until I soak them in a bucket of disinfectant!), so there shouldn't be any sap, but I just want to check that buddleja isn't harmful to snakes. Anyone know? It's the purple-flowered tree that butterflies love, for the non-green fingered amongst you.

Thanks
