hi
i got an male amber corn called ronaldinho, had him since 6 May,
hes brilliant really tame!
first feed was 13 May and he ate 2 pinkies put 3 in but accidently burst one so he didnt eat that 1, handled him for the first time on 15 may. fed him again on 21 May he ate 3 pinkies (looked like a comedy inflatable snake after though). he shed his skin on 28 may but still had another 3 pinkies straight after. thought he would be more difficult to look after than he is or have i just been lucky? my friend who also has keep corns says that 3 pinkies a week is too much and i will make him obese!!, is it? |

if the snake is taking the food then don't worry as he's still young, I'm sure he will slow down in a few months when he's on bigger mice |
its like, its like Spanish for like a fighting chicken ... |

you can make snakes obese but it tends to be when they are adults and not growing as fast corns that are fed to much and not given much exercise can get hips its abit unsightly (fatty lumps above the tail) pics of your snake after feding would be good but chances are if you fed it more than it could handle it would more than likly regurge. |

I agree with Roselyn, corn snakes can get obese, it's a problem for them. Being opportunist feeders, they will usually eat whenever they are offered food, so feed them too often and they'll get chunky.
Our Cyd got a bit weighty a few months back, because she had been on rats, which are fattier than mice. She's on a diet now. Mice only [:D] |

have you thought about trying fuzzies. one of my 6 month old corns was taking small mice once a week without a problem. you could try one at first then try 2 if the snake takes one fuzzy easy. |
