Or a blue lamp. They are supposed to give off light like the moonlight. |

I would use LED's or an engery saving bulb, both give off very little heat. |

I use blue LED's in one end which look quite good but you need a darkened room to really see the affect.

can corns see the LED's or not..?
Idk what lights then can pick up, of course, normal light..?
thinking about it, wouldn't LED's pee them right off if light was shining 24/7?

i have `golf ball` energy savers, they acually get surprisingly hot to the touch if left on for a few hours considering there only 8 watts, they also raise air temps not sure how much but can feel the heat as soon as i open the door and put my hand in. i dont have them on all the time tho, just when needed like when cleaning ect. i think a test may be in order.... |

I think that might make sense, as amels (and others, but not sure which) have red eyes, whichprobarbly filters out red light? Does that make sense? We learnt about it last year in physics. Im not sure if it would work for animals having red eyes though... |

I've read, and being told, snakes don't see red so a red light doesn't disturb them. Any other colour might, my blue LED's are on a timer and are only on for a few hours after dusk. |

i might get a normal light for during the day, and have it on a timer, so a red light comes on at night. Which means i can see him better, and it wouldnt disturb him. |
