I got home today after school, was devastated.

He had clean water last night, he didn't get burnt by his mat, was feeding perfectly, no mited whatsoever,

he was like lying out, not on his back though.

Idk if I will be getting a new one after all

thanks mate. really does suck. second one I've had that's gone.

I ran him under cold water, tried shaking him a bit but he clearly wasn't breathing.

Mightv'e had a bad clutch, him and my snow came from the same clutch.

Devasted.

Yeah all correct mate. food was alright mate, he was due feed tomorrow aswell. I defrosted his weaner in the sun for 4 hours, then warmed it in warm water for 10 or so mins.

the snow had a brain damage, she didn't eat for a few weeks and had blue blotches. vet said she had a nuerological problem.

The people owning them previously, and smoked in their house so probably the snakes mightv'e picked up a cancer or tumour...

Thanks a lot guys..

No I couldn't bear a post mortem, I was so sad, I have already buried him.

It really sucks.

I'm getting the Amel I was getting for my birthday - I don't wanna let the bloke down I already told him I'd have it off him.

MY step mum says she'll get me another one..

But I'm not sure. It will fill the hole but I'll never forget him...

Awh sorry dondon.

The Amel I'm getting is in its own viv anyway and will be a bit while I get over the loss before anything goes in storms old viv.

Should I bleach the lot of it, incase there was a disease..

I don't know if disinfectant would be strong enough.

A 10% bleech soloution should do. Even though its in a differant viv, it could still be affected it it was a disease.

I've never bleeched it before, do i leave it, or just throw the bleech soloution in there, then rinse with warm water?

Just had a thought.. we have no rubber gloves...

Soak the hides, plants, waterbowl etc in a 10% bleach - 90% water mix. Mix up a solution in a washing up bowl and use a sponge to clean the viv. Give the mat a light wipe down too.

Edit - on second thought would the bleech make the colours fade on plants etc? Maybe they should be cleaned with only disinfectant?

thank you solid.. Yeah I think so.

but my dad left at 2pm for work and snake was okay, we got in at 4 and found him lying in the middle of his viv...

the window was only opened a crack when I specifically asked it to be wide as it can go.

Not blaming my dad though, he mightv'e had a disease..

He was sprawled out of his hide yesterday in the waterbowl..

oh bless you,

i am lost for words, you worked so hard to get his tank right and everything,

i know it is hard to have this happen to you,

i know a lot of corns die young from enlarged hearts, but who knows what it was that took your baby.

Anyway, your in my thoughts...
