we have a 7 month corn called barney ... i don't handle her very much ...she struck at me so i am a bit nervous !! my girlfriend handles her a lot , everyday, unless she is shedding and being fed...barney loves my girlfriend handling her , she comes onto her hand without having to be picked up , she sits with her head stuck out whilst my GF tickled under her chin !!barney loves it !!... and she seems to recognise her , which i find a bit strange !! can such young snakes recognise a person and be so relaxed with being handled ? she's like a stick when i pick her up , she goes rigid.
maybe i'm a bit jealous
thanks for any replies

maybe also the snake can pick up your vibes...and sensing your fear can make the snake nervous...

Yeah, I think they do begin to familiarise themselves with a smell. Mine will let me touch his head, and always happy to sit on me.
But if anyone else tries to touch him close to the head, he'll jilt away and try to get away from there. Also, if he has his head out and I look into his viv, he will stay there.. But if someone else takes a look at him, he'll quickly hide away ^^ |
