Firstly, how old is your first?
Also.. Have you got them both sexed?

I personally wouldn't house together for safety reasons, unless I wanted to breed.. But it's personal preference really.
But I guess a good way would be to house them next to each other for a little, then after a few weeks - put the other in? I'm not an expert on anything, so someone else may well say something different.

Is there a reason you're choosing to do this?

i personaly dont think there is "no reason" to not do this. at work we currently have 2 corn snakes and they seem perfectly happy housed together, and my first was from last years eggs and its being sxed tomorow, im going to probly getting the same sex and age as the one i already have.

Well snakes housed together are harder to monitor, compete for the best basking spot and could eat each other especialy as your snake is young.

There are no benifits to the snakes.

Have you read this thread?

http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070

There are many risks involved in housing snakes together which while small would not be there at all if housed separately.

Such as:

Cannabalism
Passing of diseases from one snake to another
Stressing each other out (snakes are solitary in nature)
Finding a regurge (which snake did it come from?)

Its just not worth it in my opinion, there is no benefit to the snake, so why do it?

This is just my opinion.

PS. If you don't get same sex snakes there is a strong possibility that the female will become gravid before she's ready which could lead to a large vet bill or worse, a dead snakey
