Hey people,
I woke up this morning to some devastating news, Ramesses died sometime during the night. Needless to say that I'm gutted and although he doesn't show it I sure Baron is also.
I have buried him in a nice patch in the garden by some flowers.

He hadn't eaten in a long time adn the other day I noticed a dark patch about 2/3 of the way down his body. The harsh thing is that I had a vet's appointment for him booked for tomorrow which was the earliest I could get one due to having Uni exams :(
I probably should have booked one earlier when he wasn't eating but it seemed to be quite normal for them to go through phases of not eating then coming out of it again, so it wasn't until I saw the dark patch that I decided it was necessary. |

h was less than a year old unfortunately... I'm not sure whether I shall get another corn snake atm. I have a healthy mexican black kingsnake who I am going to observe carefully before I make a decision, although I may visit a pet shop this weekend just in case there is anything which takes my fancy. |

Mate, it really sucks. going to badgshot lea? Their store python is wicked.
I got a female snow when I also got my male. I had her for 4 weeks, but the vet said she had brain damage as she came out with blue blotches and didn't eat. Her eyes were always strange, so I made the decision to put her down, for the best. |

Will probably get myself down to Crystal Palace Reptiles as I'm not in Farnham very often, only when I visit the parents... |

Okay. If your'e ever go to Aldershot, DO NOT go to pet emporioum,
All the ratty school kids walk past the window banging at the rabbitts in the window, but one was on a ceramic with NO stat! just had substrate and waterbowl snakie didnt even have a hide, I also had to point out to him that in the banded cali's tank the door could easily be pushed for a 2" gap and it was really rattley!
I only go there for mice occasionally 50p for a weaner, but tbh the animals aren't kept there very well.
Bagshot lea is good for everything really, but over priced. pet emporium has bad vivs, but cheap-ish stuff but dozy staff and just pets is over priced and aimed for dogs, cats, rodents and fish.
all the shops I go to. would go with badgshot lea. never been to crystal palace.
It really does suck when you lose an animal. feel for you man |

Really sorry to hear of your loss Jono! I know exactly how your feeling. Gutted for you mate!
Sounds very similar to what happened with my Lila soon after I got her.

that was probarbly one of the things that i was worried about, when i decided to get another pet. The thought of how i would feel when it (hopefully after living a long and happy life) died...
Im very sorry for your loss... |
