i currently have a 24" repti-glo 2.0 in liquids viv (see pics in photo section) a quick search on the exo terra site and it says it has UVA radiation, which i didn`t know, just thought it was a normal light.
is this safe for little snakey? if so, i see they do a 2-in-1 controller which i may get for the other two.

opinions?????

strip lights flicker and it can upset your snakes. also UV is for things like beardies, not corns.

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

It will be even more irritating as liquid has red eyes.

what diff does the colour of eyes make ??
are red more sensitive??

Yes, they are more sensitive to light, flashing etc.

yeh snakes with red eyes are more sensitive because hte red colouring is the blood vessels underneath their eyes. Becauese they have a claer iris, there is no extra protection to the eye, so the light sensitive nervse underneath the surface of the eye are more exposed in red eye snakes. Same goes for any red eye animal :)
