Hey everyone,

We got our first Corn on Saturday. The shop advised she was due fed on Tuesday but advised to leave it until Wednesday due to the change in her surroundings as she might be a little stressed.

We didn't handle her all day Tuesday and tried to feed her for the first time yesterday afternoon. I warmed the pinkie and tried to wiggle it a little in front of her and she wasn't interested.

I left the pinkie under her hide for her and she never touched it.

Is it normal that they don't eat straight away? How long should I leave it before trying again?

I'm not sure which type she is (not figured out how to upload a pic yet) she is amber and rust coloured, stunning!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most people say not to feed or handle your snake for a week when you get it home, torture i know but it really does help them to settle in. Try feeding again in a week, by then stress levels should be lower and he should be hungry.

3.2.0 corns 0.3.1 Leopard Geckos, 0.1.0 Mad Staffys 1.0.0 Moggie. 1.2.0. Devils in training.

Thats great, thanks.

I will try again early next week and hopefully she will be hungry by then.

Do you recommend not handling until then?
