i recently bred an amel and snow corn and i am excited to see what corns hatch (if any.) this got me thinkin about my third corn i own which is a patternless anery (this snake caused a few problems as i didnt know what morph it was) here is a pic if it helps you answer my question

what i wanted to know is what morph would be best bred with it.
can any morphs be bred together or not?

ahh, good point...............
i don't know which gene makes the patternless but it will be along a similar vein to the stripe gene making cubeds. have you had a play with the morph predictor for working out colours?

so what makes specifically patternless or vanishing stripes? or is it an anomoly that occurs with the stripe gene? i need to push my knowledge of genetics!

afaik its all down to selectively bred stripes, in the same way sunglows are selective bred amels.
I'll ask around on this one and get back, I've not been involved with patternless stuff so not 100% sure ;)

I've spoken to a few breeders, and the general concensus is that vanishing stripe is a selectively bred stripe, with a modifier gene that creates the vanishing look much the same thing that causes pinstriping in motley.
