More young ladies with snakes and other 'creepy' stuff, brilliant.
It's a shame that so many children are never exposed to these things, I think they do the world of good.
My eldest boy, 10, was never that keen on my snakes, but he wanted to try the other day, so opened the viv. When he decided that he was to scared, it was to late 2 of them had their heads and bodies out, so I told him that 'you opened it, you put them back.' So he pushed them back in very gingerly with his finger, but after that he felt more comfortable with picking them up and holding them, it done wonders.
My daughter, 7, likes them but pretends not to, although will have them near her, she hasn't plucked the courage up to hold on yet.
My youngest boy, 5, is basically a nancy, because he's lived with mummy for the past 3 years he's been mollycoddled and is scared of everything, he wont even look at the tadpoles we have.

Then there's my 'grandchildren', a boy of 4 who can't stand them, and a small 3 year old girl, she absolutely LOVES them, she even asked if she could have 'one of the little snakes when they don't look like chickens'. I believe she was referring to the eggs when she said that.
She also has her favourite snake, which is Kelloggs, her mum (my eldest step-daughter) isn't that keen on them but still finds it amusing watching a child about 2 1/2 feet tall with a near 5 foot snake.

My sister in law runs a childrens nursery so in the holidays I sometimes take Spruce and Birch in, give a little talk and let the children handle them (under supervision and covered by her insurance). The snakes are usually a huge hit with the kids and parents sometimes come along too. Don't think any of them have rushed out to get a corn as a pet though LOL
