Hi, I'm new to site and my snakes shouldn't be ready to breed yet - although I think I caught them in the act! Anyway what do I do with hatchlings - can I sell them easily and to whom, do they go in a vivarium together, and do they get kept away from the adult corns? I know I must sound thick, but would an adult corn eat a hatchling? |

They might do, if they were hungry enough, but it's rare.
Hatchlings need to be kept seperately in little faunariums or rubs, because they are more likely to eat each other than an adult to eat a hatchling.
As for the babies- there's a classifieds section on this forum!
Or a lot of people use Preloved or Reptile Forums uk to sell their snakes. Or get friendly with a snake shop owner. |

You can make one using a polystrene box, vermiculite and a heat mat and stat. Although, most reptile shops will incubate for you but instead of charging, they'll normally do a 50/50 split with the ones that hatch.
So if there's 14 eggs and all of them hatch, they'll take 7 and say thanks, and you'll take the other 7 and say thanks too. |
