I am hoping to buy between 6 and 8 corn snake hatchlings (all different morphs) in a few weeks and would like to house the males in one viv and females in another (half and half). The idea is to grow them on and breed in a few years. I haven't got the funds to set up individual vivs for each one. What do you reckon? Would this be a really bad idea?
I would be interested to hear from anyone with hatchlings for sale in cornwall.
i have 1 corn called chester and was interested in getting another but didnt want to breed. was advised against keeping 2 males together. lots of opinions i myself would like to know more.
But you can keep them all in individual rubs. Cheap sandwich boxes with holes in are alright, because they don't need much space when they are that age. If you think of an ingenius way of heating all the rubs from one heat source, then that's the cheapest way.
hi, i do keep 2 males together and after a few weeks settling in they are fine together, but as above, u cant keep hatchlings together, the little reptile tanks from pet stores are great and only £5 each? then all together when big enough
ive had chester since a hatchling and he is about 9 months old. wen would be ok to add another corn. and how old would you suggest the new one should be. (gonna try 2 males) should i get another hatchling or should i try a yearling. very keen to get another but dont want any harm or problems. not fair on either corn.
ps aint got anymore room for another viv. only space i got is reserved for a royal.
