Quick basic one, as it was asked in another thread.
To take screenshots, the most important part is some sort of graphic program.
Be it MSpaint, corel, photoshop, photoimpact or anything else.
Look for the 'Print screen/sysRq' button could also be labelled 'PrScr/sysRq' towards the right hand side of the keyboard, usually just after the F12 button.
All you have to do is press that key.
Then go into your graphics/paint program and click 'edit' then either 'paste' or 'paste as a new image'. Depending on program.
It appears, then all you have to do is crop and save it.

Ah........ but did you know that if you hold 'Alt' then press 'Print Screen/SysRq' an image of the current window or app you have selected will be copied to the clipboard. Not the entire desktop image.

I did yes, but decided on the most simplest approach to start with. You can also use Snagit as well, or a firefox addon will dump a selected area screenshot to my docs folder. |
