Just a quick question on cornsnakes and constricting. How big do they have to be or how old has a cornsnake got to be before they constrict there prey, or is it more to do with the size of they prey or what.

they will always constrict if necessary... most dont bother when fed frozen mice as there isn't much point. Many people encourage constriction in snakes by tugging the mouse when feeding it to the snake...
The Baron (My kingsnake) occasionally contricted a pinkie in the beggingin but no longer..., he just munches.... i dont know with ramesses as he doent let people watch him eat, shy little fella
Maple started constricting at about a year old, CherryPetal has never bothered though and she's the same age and on the same feeding regime. it tends to be something they grow into though
