She hasnt laid any more eggs since monday now, im getting a bit worried. However, im not counting 8 eggs like I did on monday. I reckon I can feel 4 or 5. So shes either absorbing them, or I cant find them in the substrate.

Either way, has anyone got any more tips apart from baths?

ok from the book:
retained eggs are most noticeable as either an out of proportion or irregular bulge in the lower abdomen.
don't try to massage the eggs out, Kathy Love has never had any success doing this and something may
rupture inside the snake.

things you can try at home:
bathing
provide a choice of several warm damp dark hides to encourage her to lay somewhere (in case she's hanging on to them till she finds the ideal/a better place)

or vets for a choice of treatment including:
oxytocin injection to get her to pass the egg(s)
deflating the eggs using a syringe allowing her to pass them more easily
both options with or without xrays to determine exact size, number and positioning of eggs

try not to panic though hun, try the multiple damp hides option first *hugs*

She has laid a couple more eggs now, and the mass of eggs inside her is moving towards her tail. Shes in shed now though so im not expecting any more for a week or so.

I cant decide wether to feed her or not. I was going to hold off until she passed all the eggs, but she is looking skinny. I will weigh her when after she has shed. What do you lot think?

I wouldn't feed until after she has passed her eggs.
Because if she's having problems passing eggs, then her food could only make matters worse.

Ok. Been to the vets today. I went to see Polly Cornwell at Highcroft Veterinary Surgery in Bristol.

Applying light force to the eggs didnt work and the eggs were too solid to drain with a needle. She has been tube fed critical care formula. The advice was up the temps a few degrees, make the substrate a bit deeper and a warm bath every day for 20 mins with reptoboost in. She seemed a very good vet to me
