hi there, I recently perchased my corn snake two weeks ago today, i feed her 2 pinkies on a wednesday every week, this is my first corn snake but i have been doing alot of homework on the subject, my problem is that on a tuesday my snake seems to be searching for food, but when i feed it on wednesday it can take it upto 30 mins to eat, is this normal? as i have reed that it should only take 5 or 10 mins, also when will i know when to up its feeding, all help is gladly recieved,

hi, i think your biggest problem maybe that the food she getting is not enough, she should be on at least a fuzzy by now if not a small mouse..
i also have one lazy snake that takes ages and one that eats it in seconds lol
if she hungry tues then feed her tues, there is no weekly rule with corns, they eat when hungry and not by routine.. i have one that wants it every 7 days and one that can go 3 dyas or 10 days! lol mine r 2yr old and both on 2 small mice every 6-9 days..

I wouldn't worry too much, like Speedway babe says, some snakes take ages to eat while others gobble stuff down in seconds.

Do you feed them in the viv or outside of it? I always feed mine on a feeding mat and sometimes if I've not had them out for a day or so they are more interested in exploring than eating. If yours seems hungry on tuesday make sure that's the day you handle him most. They are most active when they are 'on the hunt' and the exercise would help build up an appetite ready for the next day
