hey everyone i have had my corn "tango" for two weeks now i have just feed him a pinkie and he wolfed it down i feed him one pinkie once a week how do i know when its time to give him 2 pinkies hes about 5 months old and 14 inches long i dont want to overfeed him but then i dont want to underfeed him either any advice gratefully recieved thanks sam and tango
when he's had a decent meal there should be a lump visible around the snakes stomach area (first to middle third of the snake)and it should take about 36 hours to go back down to normal. if there's not much of a lump and it goes down very quickly and the snake is actively searching for more food then try a second pinky
cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
The food he eats should be no bigger than 1.5 times the thickness of his body. I'd have him on at least 2 pinkys every 5-7 days at the moment.
Roughly how thick is he at the thickest part of his body?
i would say that he is roughly just under a cm at his widest part and as far as i know he has only ever had 1 pinkie a week my friend who has a milk snake seems to think that he is too skiny he is roughly 5 months old and ive had him for 2 weeks now
