Hi,

I'm due to collect my first corn snake next weekend, being an 09 I know that its far too small to go in the Viv, but whats the best way to house and heat any suitable container?

Can anyone send me any links to containers or the best way to heat please?

Many thanks,

Jo

try a RUB or a sandwich box with some hole punched in it, try a squashed toilet roll for hide sprinkle some aspen in there sparingly and a waterdish. not sure about the heat though

Sit it on a heatmat with a thermostat.

depends what size the snake is, there is a general rule of wide + deep = max snake length, but i`m sure a 12"x6" tub would be ok for a few months. the baby i bought yesterday is 20", which i put in a 12x6 but i wasnt happy with it so i`ve just transfered him to the big viv with a devider to make it 15x10, newspaper and kitchen tissue over the mat and a cave at each end. in theory it should be escape-proof but easier for feeds.
