this question has probably been asked so many times but hay what the heck i no for shore that some one will help me.
my two corns are nine months old now and getting to 2 foot long, but they are still in there starter vivs, which are 17 inchs buy 11 inchs, they are made by exo terra with a klip on lid, im shore everybody knows what im on about.
so the real question is when should i move them up and what size should it be,
i make my own vivs and have already made the vivs for when they are adults but at the moment they are ocupied by my other snakes untill thay get moved up a size.
hope i havent waffled on to much and someone can help. |

if they were mine they`d already be in at least a 2 foot wide viv, maybe 3 |

I would put them in a 3 foot viv (each). Its possible that they will need a bigger one, but a 3' should be fine for a year+. You could get them a 4' viv each and put up a devider to make it a bit smaller, as to not spook them. |

Ideally you wouldn't want to go bigger than 3ft at the moment but if they get uber big (ie. 5-6ft) then they may need to upgrade again in a few years time.
Infact, if your making your own viv you could concider manking a 4ft viv with a removable divider in (so 2 x 2ft vivs) that will last you another year or two. Then you can take the divider out and make another 4ft so they each end up in a 4ft viv when they're adults.
Now thats a very sensable suggestion concidering i've had half a bottle of wine isnt it |

as a guide length of viv + depth of viv = maximum length of snake so your starter viv is 17" long + 11" wide, so suitable for up to 28" long snake any drastic changes to much bigger vivs could create health, handling and feeding problems due to stress from being in an over-sized enclosure. i think Tizzy's suggestion is a very good idea |

i'm sure Oscar would appreciate one, being over 5'4" long (and only being in a big RUB ) |
