Hey people.. just wanted to ask a quick question, i have 2 corns that are housed together, one male one female. I have caught them mating 3 times, but now i can see that he keeps attempting to mate but she isnt having any of it. i think they may of only been at it 3 times, is it likely that she will reproduce? with such a short mating period?

I didn't intend to breed them and i never have done before, another problem, is that i don't know whether she is old enough.. i ahve had her about a year and a half now, but i dont know how old she actually is.. they said at the shop when i bought her that she was about 6-8 months old. she is about 3 and a half foot in length now but not very thick, i would probably say that the diameter of her thickness is about 2cm

Slightly worried about her! and another concern is how am i going to house all the little baby corns!!

:-S

ideally for breeding use the rule of 3 - 3 years old, 3 feet long and 300g (as 'minimum' benchmarks)
reproducing too early can cause problems if she's too small to actually cope with laying the eggs. i'd separate them immediately and cross your fingers!!

I agree with GP- she's too young and skinny to produce babies. It can lead to all sorts of costly problems.

Separate asap and hope she's not gravid already.

You may end up with a poorly snake and an expensive vet bill, fingers crossed for you.

As above, seperate asap.
