everyones corn snake probably does it, you know when a corn snake is in explore mode and they are up against the glass of the viv, and sometimes they think they can escape because they sometimes press their snout in between the 2 panes of glass and press really hard putting all their body weight into it? well my corn snake has been doing this for over a month now, i have had him since he was 6 months old and hes 2 years old and he has never done this for a period as long as this before, he seems very too over active and only rests under his log on the heat mat to warm up, digest a meal or go into hiding because an approaching shed is coming. the rest of the time hes out and about and got his snout pressing against the glass and im worried he might cause himself an injury. i am 100 percent sure none of this is temperature related as i have kept him the same way and at the same temperature since i had him. a theory i have in mind is it may be coz hes entering maturity? isnt it around the breeding season now for corns? and like he might be searching for a female and gone a bit crazy and determined to escape and mate? i did hear this can occur in males particularly? |

Mine do it every so often if I even so much as look at their Viv sometimes. I think they do it for attention sometimes actually. |

Hmmm mine do it especially my carolina in the evenings. followed by a splash as he falls of the wall into the waterbowl. its rather funny. See i think its rather stupid trying to get out i open the viv doors and he goes to bite me. -.- Ah well sometimes i think it might be him telling me hes too big for the viv yet the other one seems fine with it. :s |
