people tend to bath them if they've had a problem shedding - water about 28-30*C (warm end of the viv temp, but will only feel lukewarm to us) about the same depth as the snake's body for 10-15 mins at a time (otherwise the water cools and so do they) the odd bath for a change of exercise wouldn't do them any harm either, just make sure you keep an eye on them all the time they're in and block all escape routes such as overflow holes! |

As above, in general you don't need to, but you can if you want and the individual snake doesn't mind for exercise and helping a bad shed. |

Watch out for using water that is too cold. I used to bath my son's snake in lukewarm water a couple of days after every feed to aid in the pooping (less to clean out of the tank. However, my son bathed his snake himself in cold water while I was out once and she froze up and went rigid - no movement, eyes fixed, no tongue flicking. We thought she was dead. She gradually came back to life after a few hours. Took a couple of days until she started moving properly again. Very scary, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. |

i can remember you posting that one SCO, that's why i deliberately quoted a temperature on there to hopefully prevent it happening to somebody else! |

you can just hold your snake over the water, it`ll flick is tongue a bit and will either go in by itself or not at all, you cant force it to bath |
