My cornsnake has just shed her skin and has two strange bright red dots on her shed skin around her vent. They look like blood spots. Is this normal? I've never noticed these on a shed skin before...she's around 2 years old now
the shed skin might have just pulled a little in that sensitive area as it was coming off. nothing really to worry about but you could try a damp hide next time she goes blue to try and aid the shedding process.

my snake has them on his sheds and i thought it was the markings of the hemipenes, but as your female corn snakes sheds have them im convinced now its nothing to do with the hemipenes, so god knows what they are
