Ok, i am next week finally going to get my 1st corn snake, I just read on here you occasionally feed them chicks? are corns ok on rats? is it easy to convert them from mice when they are big enough to eat them? or are mice adequate?
Do you give them anything else for variation?

Most keepers feed them on mice their whole lives. Its a more common to feed corns multiple prey items in one sitting than to do the same with a royal. E.g 2 pinkies. I've only given my corn a few rats when I have had them left over in the freezer.
You could feed day old chicks ocassionaly if you wish. |

| The most prey items in one sitting it 2. As in if the snake is eating pinkies, give it two pinkies for a few weeks before offering a fuzzy. Then before moving to adult mice feed 2 fuzzies for a few weeks. |
