hi guys,

my snake had its first feed with me lastnight. just wondering how long i should leave the snake before attempting to handle it?

0.0.1 - carolina corn snake
0.0.1 - royal python
0.1.0 - honduran milk snake
1.0.0 - mexican black king snake

2 - 3 days depending on the size of the meal...

2 at the very least.

when your corn snake is really used to you it is possible i done it with mine before. the regurgitation thing is what snakes do when they feel frightened in the wild, they regurgitate their meal for a quicker escape. lol my snake seems to not mind being handled 24hours after the meal so its only half digested but he dont seem to mind. lol hatchlings seem to be the most prone to regurgiation problems etc

the general advice is 48 hours. add an extra day if it was a particularly big meal.

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
