29x17x16. its not very big but like i said before ("my first snake" thread in general) i was limited to peices of flat pack furniture that were damaged on delivery :P. My brother recently had his room redone and alot of the furniture was damaged first time round. The back peice is a headboard from a bed. I dont mind the square holes because i will staple fine mesh to the back for a large vent.

(edit = spelling mistakes)

turns out if i had bought one it would have cost me between £60 and £80! i thought that was very expensive for what is essentially a box. http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/vivariums-416/basic-vivariums-572.html Mines 29"

ha! i dont think i could reproduce one that could be much cheaper than a shop bought one. because the main pannels were given to me free, it cost me less, the perspex alone cost me 20 odd quid (glass is cheaper but i opted for saftey). will get pics of henrys old viv and her in her new one

Viv is all done and i have put henry in, after exploring for 15 mins she in snoozing in the tube.

This is her old viv (22x12x15 inches, i have taken her water bowl out to move it):

As you can see it is very craped for the size of the snake, also theres no room to move things about so shes never had the chance to explore new surroundings.

This is the new viv (dimensions mentioned earlier, heat mats on the right). This is her exploring:

Shes in the tube:

Just afew suggestions:

Maybe you could get some type of vine or fake plant and wrap it around the bar along the top? Or maybe some under the stand to cover the pole holding it up?

looks realy good mate. a bit of fake plant would look great. im pretty new to keeping snakes myself but i think i read somewhere that they been known to curl round lamps but they dont register when they burn themselves. so maybe i little cover might be an idea. other than that looks great.

It looks fantastic! I also like that you've used stuff that doesn't cost much like the plant pot and the toilet roll tube. I'm really bad for buying exo-terra stuff then wondering why I'm skint all the time. I'm trying to think of cheaper ways to kit out my vivs, because at the end of the day snakes aren't bothered what things look like as long as it's exciting for them

I agree with you Kazerella, theres no harm doing it on the cheap! Angelina needs a new hide and im definatly going to scrounge a plant pot or something similar to use
