Make sure its soft and warm. Press the stomach and make sure its not hard, if it is, its usually and indicator that the belly is still frozen. Ten mins in a bag in warm water is usually ample time, I just leave my out for an hour and they are always fully thawed. |

I've been told never to put them in a microwave.. My friend tried it and the mouse promptly exploded...mouse guts do NOT come off, plus the smell was awful... |

lol, I can imagine. I only put it in on defrost for a couple of minutes to kick off the defrosting wouldn't do it on normal or for too long. The wife would not be very impressed if I splattered a mouse in the micro! |

We leave ours to defrost at room temperature for hours- usually over night if we are feeding in the morning or all day if we are feeding in the evening.
We then just warm up the ones for the python, boa and troublesome king with either the hair dryer or hot water. All the corns take them just thawed without warming. |

Armpit eh? You do know that's not the warmest part of the body don't you?
Mind you- I don't think the snakeys would appreciate it if you thawed it in the other place |

I hold mice against my upper lip. Missus hates it, but I find it's the best way to tell if mousey is ready for 'nomming'. |
