firstly,
i've heard ppl use red bulbs instead of normal ones, just wondered if there are any benefits of this?
secondly,
if i was to build my own viv, could you fit hinged doors instead of sliding ones? i know sliding ones are more secure but i like the idea of hinges.
just a couple of thoughts i had.

I think that people use red lights because reptiles, snakes particularly I believe can't see the colour in their spectrum so it's a good light to use of a night time as they won't see it and it won't disturb their sleeping patterns.

There not just normal red bulbs,there infrared just in case you did'nt know

Yep we use infared bulb on a stat for our boas, unlike the ceramic you can see if it blows and it lights up the viv well at night too. Ours has given us no problems really.

3.2.0 corns 0.3.1 Leopard Geckos, 0.1.0 Mad Staffys 1.0.0 Moggie. 1.2.0. Devils in training.
