Hey :)

I've been thinking about getting a corn snake..
And the reptile shop close to me got a few new babyish ones in (They were born in july, i think he said)
The shop is a reputable reptile shop; and specialise in snakes over anything.. They've all been well handled, come with feeding/moulting sheets etc.. and they're feeding on fuzzies atm

The snake comes in a mediumish plastic tub (My guess at around 4 gallon), heat mat, fake plant etc etc
My question is - Would that size tub be ok for a month or two, then move onto a 3 foot viv?

(I also have a spare pet carrier/aquarium.. 45cm Length x 25.5cm Width x 31.5cm Height; 4.5 gallons) - Would that be alright for a month or 2? If it's bigger then the one I get from the pet shop?)

Thanks!

The tubs you get as part of 'corn kits' usually last until they are 12 - 18 months old...

Usually the length+width of the container should roughly match the length of the corn in it. They can get a bit freaked out by too much space (but you can fill it with hides and plants etc).

all the above sounds good to me, it you wanted to get a 3ft viv you could put in a partition until he's big and old enough to go in the whole thing.
