I am thinking of getting a second snake but I want a different type to a Corn (not that I don't like Corns, but I like variety  ).
I was thinking of getting a black and white banded Californian King Snake, simply 'cos I think they look real cool  I hear they have a bit more "attitude" than Corns, but care wise, are identical to Corns.
My local reptile shap had a great 1 year old in stock, but I am waiting until July before I get one. If it's still there then I am getting him I think.
Anyone got a Californian King in their collection
My third snake is going to be Royal Python, but that is next years purchase |

I went to my local reptile shop today and the King Snake was still there. They got him out the viv for me to have a closer look. He is very placid and looks a real beaut. He is about 18 months old and they probed him then and there, a definate male. Selling for £55. 
Yes, you guessed it, I caved in a bought him! Even better, they sold me the viv, light, water bowl, rock, log, plants and snake for just £80. Now thats a bargain! He now all settled in his viv next to Jaspers.
I shall upload some pics later. |
