hi im alex and i am getting a corn snake soon and i was just wandering if i get like young snake i need to get a small veverium but will i need to get a heat mat still and i was also wandering if i have a heat mat do i need a lamp to keep my snake warm ??? oh dose it also need to eat alive pinkys or dead (froze)? any help will b gr8

hi there and welcome...

yes you will need a heat mat, a thermostat to control the mat and the light would be for viewing purposes only.

they will eat frozen and thawed pinkys...

when my snake grows to like 4" will i need something to give he snake more heat as it is longer???

What Dazb means is that when you buy the pinkys, they'll be frozen so just let them thaw out until they're nice and warm and completely defrosted before you give them to the snake.

The heat temps will stay the same as he gets bigger, but the size of the heated area will get bigger at the same time you change the vivarium size.

so i will need to get more of them to cover up more space if i get a bigger tank ? so basicly half the tank should have mats and half shouldent ????

you wont need to buy seperate mats,just get a bigger one and a mat only need to be big enough to cover a third of the viv.
