Can you describe it a bit better? Pictures may help.

Does it distort the snakes figure?
Although its hard, is it moveable?

but saying that, i just wondering HOW MUCH DOES TREATMENT COST FOR A CORN SNAKE? i know the prices are ridiculous nowadays. dogs vet bills can hit their thousands. i took my pet rat to the vet a few months ago to get one of his teeth clipped as it got two big and started touching his top lip. got that cut that a weeks course of anti biotics £53 yes thats right £53 for a rat that cost me £6.
i know if we love our animals we will take them to the vets, but the vets have the power to take the p**s. and alot of vets are just for mammals and birds round where i live. and doubt they are clued up on reptiles at all. so i would prussume anyone who takes their snake to the vet round here they will probably say "theres nothing much i can do"

but just out of curiousity, has anyone had problems with their snakes and took them to the vet? i just would like an idea how much it will cost just out of curiousity?

Mine is really reasonable, just a flat consultation fee of like 12 quid or something, plus prescriptions.

Mine was quite good too. I had Henry in over 6 months ago for an RI. She had two injections which cost me £35

no, they say stuff like "increase humidity" and "install a UV light" NEITHER OF WHICH ARE OF ANY RELEVANCE TO CORNSNAKES!

oorrr matty that sounds cheap , i doubt it will be that cheap round here lol and gingerpony sounds right aswell about what normal vets say when theres a reptillian patient come in. really needs to be more reptile vets in and around the uk, i just touch wood that nothing goes wrong with my snake.

to be honest if we have anyone phoning work wanting to book a reptile in we give them the phone number of our local reptile specialists. our vets admit reptiles aren't their thing and quite rightly won't waste an owner's time and money.
