i heard that they are a begginer monitor, so that could mean advanced lizard .. but my friend has like 2 beardies, a royal, and a common boa. i should tell him to join the TRP.

As well as being very hard to keep, the electricity bill will be hard enough to pay

Komodo dragons bite carries a nuerotoxin and bout 40 harmful bacterias. i the intial bite doesn't kill you .. the wound goes gangarine in a few days. combined with blood loss. i think its a pretty efficiant killer. .. and i didn't know bout the beardies, wouldn't it be bad if one bit u then!

Its toxic, not posinous. So unless you go round drinking a beardies saliva it wont do anything

As for the Komodo dragon, as much as the idea of having one would be fun, its not really a posibility.

when i was little my dad had a bosc monitor called Boris. Can't remember much about the keeping of one as i was really young, but he was aggressive he would bite. That hasnt put me off them though as i found him fascinating...oh maybe i did when i was 5 lol either way in the next couple of years i may start to research more about them and get one.

I did look at getting a monitor but converting the conservatory into a viv didn't really go down well with the Mrs .

I love the idea of a monitor but I don't have the experiance or space.

They look so cool but as adults, they really need a huge space.

i was told its the amount of food they eat that is the problem. bottom less pits...

would be great to take it for a wilk though...

Well I once saw a video where they were eating like 3 or 4 mice in one sitting.

I think the size of enclosure would be the biggest problem.
