Cheers guys We called it Biggles cos of the circular markings. Kinda reminded me of the RAF roundal then it was just a case of finding Ginger. They were the only two that didn't leg it or bite.

Just gotta wait for them to grow a bit so that I can sex them. Does anyone know of any way of sexing them this young?

really nice leos congrats! you can sex them by looking underneath by the base of their tails, males have a dark (usually a dark brown colour) prominent v shaped row of pores between the hind legs where as the females do not, hope this helps.

its hard to see the pores when they are really young, although if you have a really good look when they are around 3 months you can tend to see them. Also males have "lumps" at the base of their tails by the legs but that tends to be visible at 3+ months.

Congrats on the leos.

A way of sexing them (apparently) is by the incubations temps.
It's allegedly the same with Beardies. Can't remember what the 'rules' of it were of hand, but i'll find out tomorrow and ask a beardie breeder.

Cheers for the compliments guys. They've even started feeding and exploring already.

Yeah. It's true about the temps. Works with some bugs too. We've gotta be really careful when we start up a 2nd generation colony in the lab, especially if we want to get a 3rd generation .
