i have a wooden vivarium that houses a year old corn snake. just wondering though whhat way is the best way to heat the viv. a heat lamp or a heat mat? and how could i go about controlling the temperature, is there a device which controls what temp the heat mat/lamp stays at?
ok and you can connect the heat mat to these devices and turn the heat up or down at my disgression? and what temperature is best for the warm side of the viv? and does it change through the seasons?
Yep, the heat mat can be controlled by the thermostat but you will need a digital thermometer to check the temps. Your aiming for 27-30*C on the hot side and 21-23 on the cool side. It stays that way all year round (except if breeding but that a differant thing all together).
