hiya, i have just got my new baby corn and the viv is all set up... Since i only have a hatchling it is just a small plastic viv. However only hours after getting it set up the viv was full of condensation... we put lots of air holes in the top of the viv so i was wondering how badly this will affect the snake and what i can do to get rid of it. Thanks

you do not want it full of condensation at all.

i would take the snake out, and wipe all to consation off the sides.

wot substrate are you using? did you wash/freeze it first?

we have wiped the sides but worried about handling the snake as only recently put him in the new viv from the shop and was told to give him some time to adjust... we are using orchid bark and was told that is was ready to use so not sure what to do..

Aspen/hemp is the best substrate to use. Orchid bark creates alot of humidity as you have found out. You can try baking the substare to reduce the moisture in it.

if i were you i would empty the substrate out clean viv and dry it, then use newspaper.

then bake the bark to dry it out.

also you should ALWAYS either freeze or bake bark to kill any bugs that may be hiding in it.
go for about 1 hour at 100*C.
