Hi there. I thought that i should write a little bit about myself so here we go lol. I am 15 and live in Chehsire, NW England, and really love reptiles. At the moment i don't have a snake but am getting one for my 16th birthday in November. I will probably get a corn snake but was thinking about a royal python ( the feedings habitats of the royal is my main turn down ). I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a hamster. I love sports especially fishing and archery. There is a bit about myself and glad to be a part of the forum |

, and welcome to the forum. We're all a good bunch of chaps and chapettes here, although no one is 100 percent of my sanity.
Look forward to questions pics, and general gabbing. |

Hello and welcome. I agree with the others, a corn snake is a perfect first snake. I'd never owned a reptile till late last year when I bought my corn, and they're so easy to care for. Be warned though....they are addictive....I'm already debating whether to get a milk snake or a bearded dragon for my birthday next month! |

I agree with everyone else- get a corn over a royal for a starter snake.
Royals are cool, but I get more pleasure out of my corns. Royals don't really like to be handled and hide even more than corns do. A corn would provided more entertainment for you and they are easier to keep because you're not worried about humidity and feeding problems. |

welcome!!! a Corn is the better starter snake out of the two - You can always get a royal after you have had your corn for a while. |

I think thats conclusive proof. Corns 7 royals 0, or 8 nil including my vote. I got my first corn last year and now own three and considering more. Welcom to the site and good luck. |

nov is a long way away, so you could ask for a birthday credit and if that does`nt work you could blag it a bit and say that they are cheaper this time of year |

lol and say that the younger they are the cheaper they are and make up some crazy stuff that isn't true lol. I have waited since i was 9 for the answer of " Yes jordan, you can have a snake" so maybe waiting till nov won't be to bad though. also christmas money to create a better habitat. |

P.S And I still got pressies on xmas day...cos mums and dads dont like it when u got nothing to open on the day haha |
