Hello and welcome to the forum.

Sorry. Can't help with your search. All I could find on the net was info about St Patrick and snakes. Perhaps the ones you're after were the ones he drove out .

I was chatting to the owner of the reptile shop in Dublin "reptile haven" he was letting me play with his yearling male motley butter (awesome specimen) but wouldn't sell me it for love nor money. He said he'd email me if he hears of any but as said they hard to track down as dead popular

What about importing one from a UK breeder. Are there any major government restrictions against it?

It should do, as a official reptile courier would ensure it got there the next day, but I'm not sure if I would personally risk it.

Keep an eye out on Preloved and other classifieds and you might get lucky

Beaware, that not all the snakes have gone, and could well come back to bite the hand that feeds them

How could St.Patrick 'drive' the snakes out of Ireland?

Cars weren't even invented in the 5th Century

Hello, I am in Dublin too. No problem ordering snakes from anywhere to anywhere once in the EU. I also keep 40 odd tarantulas and I have bought many from EU countries. Post was not an issue once the seller includes a "heat pack" (similar for those used for sports injuries)in the parcel.

Butters are really nice. I was in with Ben in Reptile Haven on Saturday. He did have a butter there but it was marked as sold. I have 2 Carolina's myself but must say that I am new to keeping snakes. I am really enjoying them it has to be said. Great little guys with a great attitude to match. Good luck with your new snake.

Cheers
