I noticed this morning that one of my snakes had something white on it.
After closer inspection i found out it was toothpaste!! At first i couldn't figure out how it got toothpaste on it until i lifted their water bowl.
It seems that there was toothpaste in the sink when i was doing their water bowl last night and i got on the side of the bowl.

Anyway, does anyone know if toothpaste could cause any problems for my snake?
It was only a small amount and was on the side of his neck.

Is it just a normal shop bought toothpaste? If it is they should be fine and as a bonus they will have minty fresh breath too .

I wouldnt of thought it could do any harm unless it was in the water and the snake drank alot of it. Should be fine I recon.

It was standard toothpaste, it was only on the bottom side of the water bowl, so i don't think they ate(?) any of it, it just got on it when they rubbed along the bowl.

Didn't think so, but thought i'd ask just in case anyone else knew otherwise.
He doesn't seem to have any effect from it.

toothpaste can have quite a drying effect, i'd probably give it a bath to make sure there's no residue left but i'm not aware of any long term effects
