With the second hand viv I bought recently I got a 600w Habistat dimming thermostat, but when I looked at the Habistat website it says it needs a minimum of 40w load?
Which is no good for using it with a 7" heat mat.
Anyone confirm this?
Also, if this is the case I'm still going to need a stat for the mat, so do any other stats have minimums, I was thinking like a ministat from microclimate? |

| Dimming stats are probably better for bulbs rather than heat mats. For your heat mat you can get quite cheap mat stats from 888reptiles at the moment, they should be fine for most mats I believe. |

| Yeah that's what I thought. Because I don't think I'll be using a bulb I might offer it on here for swap with a mat stat or a pulse stat or something. |
