Hi all I have just joined onto the forum and have just recently bought a corn snake which is 1 year old. If I were going to breed at what age is a good time to start? |

Females are usually ready for breeding at 300g, 3 years old and 3' long. Males a bit sooner. |

rule of 3 is what the majority of people go by, they can breed earlier but it's not in their best interests so sexes should be kept seperate - just cos a 13 year old girl can get pregnant doesn't mean it's in her best interests either! you can get away with breeding with 2 year old males if they're up to size as they don't have the physical strain of producing, carrying and laying a clutch of eggs. |
