Hey, great looking website!
Thinking of getting my first snake in a few weeks but I'm not a massive fan of having animals in enclosed areas so is there any good reason not to place a baby corn snake into a large enclosure? Say 2-3 feet across, a foot deep and 2 feet high.. |

I personally would advise against it as I've been told that snakes can be distressed if their enclosure is too big. I put my baby corn in a viv thats 30cm x30cm x 30cm and for now he's got plenty of room to mooch about. Then as he gets bigger you can get him a bigger viv. I'm sure the money spent will be well worth it. |

Thanks, have been reading about and sounds like they don't like open spaces so much, think I'll look for a viv around the same size as yours to begin with :) |

hi, and welcome! i agree with the above, corns like tight spaces so a little plastic reptile tank would do for first 6 months, plus a small cave that he can hide in, both my corns r 4ft long and sumhow manage to squeeze into the medium sized cave (approx4"x6") lol
ive only just this week gone from 2ftx1.5ft viv to 3ft |

they say that the viv size should be: the length of your snake should go accross the front and down one side before you up grade to a bigger viv.. i.e: a 4ft snake would want a viv 3ftx1ft before thinking bout upgarding, obviously the more corns you keep in there would make a difference |

if you do use a larger viv, put more hides in there so they don`t get stressed out and can feel safe |
