After much begging, grovelling and general sucking up, my niece and step-daughter are getting new pets tomorrow. Step-daughter,14, is getting 2 turtles, either Maps or Cooters we haven't decided which yet.
Niece,14, is getting a Whites Tree Frog. The tree frog is a lovely pearl green colour.
I'm also gonna be replacing my beloved Ancistrus Triradiatus (sucker catfish) that passed away last week at the ripe old age of 21 with a baby Marble Catfish.
My missus will still not let me have a royal though but oddly will let me build a holding pen so i can get a couple of aylesbury ducks again.
I might start charging entry to my flat so people can see my zoo!! |

At the moment, we have:
A cat, 3 G.A.L.S 3 cornsnakes goldfish
we did have hamsters (RIP Arctic and Professor Lugovoy) and 3 other ones. 3 dogs: 2 poodles and a rotty.
So we'll be adding 2 turts, a frog and another Catfish. and possibly the ducks, i'll find out definitely about those today.
I thought i had more animals, but i'm forgetting that the 'grandchildren' no longer live with me. |

I'm on the same campaign Kehhlyr, pleading and pleading to let me get a royal. My local rep shop just got one in, even more to persuade her with lol. What have been your techniques so far? ;) |

So far i've just said "I'm gonna be getting one at some point" and that's it, so at least when i just get one and she goes mad, i'll remind her that I did tell her i was going to.
Anyway, quick piccys of new recruits into the home that I call 'The Loony Bin':
This is my step-daughter Amys' turtle, it's a River Cooter. She only got one today as she didn't know what other one to get, so no doubt she'll have made her mind up and we'll get another 2 tomorrow. She's called it Chee Chee
This is my niece, Nicoles, frog. It's a Whites Tree Frog, at the moment it's colour is a nice green, but it can change shades from blues, Greens and browns apparently. She's called it 'Mr Dave Ming Chang'.

They both look great. Is the turtle fully grown or is it still little? |

The turtle has a front to back shell measurement of nearly 1 1/2 (ish) but should grow to somewhere around 5-6 inches.
The froggy has a nose torump measurement of about 3 1/2 inch, and apparently will grow to around 5-6 inches as well. |

That's what I said, i also tried the argument of 'they're allowed another pet, why can't I?' (childish, but can be effective).
The OH said that i've already got snakes, so i told her i already had them, so they don't count. She said "hmmmm". So it looks like i'm breaking the barrier down, it's slow but getting there!! |
