if the snake bathes regularly it can be put in the water bowl and the actual antibiotic ingredient can be absorbed through the skin, the solution needs changing every 24 hours and it's a bit hit and miss but i had done that in the past.

Me and Lewy always do it the hard way- shringe in the mouth. Hard, but at least we know she's had her daily dose. With water go wouldn't know whether she'd had it or not.

Not looking forward to it though I have to admit. Nagini was the last one we had to give baytril and that was a nightmare- think this would be even worse because it takes two of us to hold her normally, nevermind trying to keep her still enough to administer medicine

Just a quick thought... Tango lets out a sort of squeak sometimes when he's trawling all over us.... took him to vet when first had him, as thought it may have been RI, but vet said everything was clear, so now know it's just one of his quirks...

From watchin our vet give Tango a once over, I would have thought that if it's not continual, and no snot or phlegm noticable, it may be mild enough to manage without vets... our vet said to watch for spatter on walls of viv (snake sneeze snot)!! I'm still not sure if he was joking or not, cos he told us to put him in fridge for a couple of weeks to brumate!! Obviously got a very dry sense of humour.... Only cracked a smile when he realised I was not taking him seriously!
